Toronto-Reykjavik will operate this summer four days a week, while Montreal-Reykjavik will run three days a week.“Iceland’s rugged beauty and intriguing cultural attractions are making it a prime destination for travellers seeking new adventures and Air Canada is pleased to be the only Canadian airline and only Star Alliance carrier in North America to serve the island, providing convenient connections across Canada and the U.S.A.,” said Benjamin Smith, President, Passenger Airlines, at Air Canada. “Iceland is the latest addition to our expanding international network as these new services from Toronto and Montreal are two of 11 new routes being launched this summer.”The new service to Iceland will be operated by Air Canada Rouge with a 136-seat Airbus A319 aircraft offering a choice of Premium Rouge and Economy cabins of service with in-flight internet satellite connectivity throughoutMore news: Air Canada’s global sales update includes Managing Director, Canada & USA SalesAlready this summer Air Canada has begun new services from Vancouver to Frankfurt, Nagoya, Taipei and London-Gatwick, from Toronto to Berlin, and from Montreal to Marseille.
