John Buckley of Holmdel was among the more than 100 members of the Lehigh University football program recently honored for its contribution to Lehigh’s championship season. Lehigh finished at 11-1 and defeated Hofstra University in the first round of the NCAA playoffs. The Mountain Hawks closed out their season with a loss to Furman University in the NCAA quarterfinals. The Hazlet Youth Athletic League will be holding grandfather registration for its Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading Program on March 23 from 10 a.m. to noon at Raritan High School. Registration fee for the flag program (5- and 6 year-olds) is $50. The fees for Pop Warner football and cheerleading are $100 for one child, $150 for two, and $175 for three of more from the same family. In addition to the registration fee, please bring checks for uniform deposit, a work deposit and the mandatory fund-raiser raffle. Roster will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
