The combined cycle power plant will be fueled by a 2x2x1 combined cycle and is scheduled to begin operations in mid-2010. CH2M Hill, the engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and operations firm, will serve as EPC contractor. ABB’s 800xA control system will help control the electrical balance of plant, heat recovery steam generators and cooling towers. Other equipment that will be supplied as part of the order includes PPA consoles, AC800M controllers, S800 input/output and S800 input/output with HART, as well as several step-up transformers.
